Blood Donations

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs lifesaving blood. Blood shortages can happen at any time—and maintaining a healthy blood supply is vital for North Oaks to provide lifesaving patient care. Donating blood is quick, safe and easy. Help save lives by donating blood and sharing the opportunity with your friends and family.

Who Can Donate

Most people can donate blood every 56 days—up to six times a year—if they:

  • Are in good health and feeling well
  • Are at least 17 years old and at least 110 pounds
  • NOTE: 16-year-olds may donate with parental consent if they weigh at least 130 pounds
