What Is a CT Scan?

By using computer enhanced X-rays, CT scans can distinguish between bone, tissue, fat, gas and fluid for clear results that help your medical provider diagnose the problem and prescribe an appropriate course of treatment. CT scans are used to detect and diagnose:

How Results Are Provided

Results are shared with your provider, typically within 48 hours of your visit. Studies are read by a board-certified radiologist. The results will be sent to the ordering medical provider, and the images will be available in a CD format upon request.
