Urological Surgery

Urology involves the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the male and female urinary tracts, as well as male reproductive organs. When medication and other non-surgical treatments do not relieve symptoms, surgery is the recommended treatment for many conditions that affect the male reproductive organs and urinary tract organs. Some of these conditions include, among other things, prostate cancer, ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction, bladder and kidney cancer and vesicoureteral reflux.

The da Vinci® Surgical System is being used by many surgeons worldwide for prostatectomy and other urologic procedures. It is a minimally invasive approach, using the latest in surgical and robotics technologies. Robotic surgery with the da Vinci system is ideal for both complex and delicate urologic surgeries.
