Injured on the job? We can help. Choose North Oaks for industrial rehabilitation, led by qualified physical and occupational therapists. Employers and workers compensation insurers recognize that our program ensures injured employees are properly treated and released back to work at the right time.
Our physical and occupational therapists work to improve your physical ability and motor skills by developing a treatment plan to condition muscles, restore strength and improve coordination during a recovery period.
Therapists screen or evaluate a person’s strength, mobility and functional abilities as they relate to the person’s job description and demands
North Oaks designs individualized, work-oriented programs to restore a patient’s strength, endurance, movement, flexibility and function for a safe return to work. We focus on motivation, safety, physical tolerances and worker behaviors.
The functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive evaluation of a person's ability to perform essential job duties. All North Oaks FCEs are performed using the WorkWell™ System, which assesses strength, endurance, motivation, fitness and physical impairment. A trained therapist evaluates the person’s ability to perform work from physical, medical, behavioral and ergonomic perspectives.
To reduce stress and prevent injuries/disorders associated with muscle overuse, our therapists design workspaces and environments to fit a person’s physical capabilities. Therapists offer on-site education to employees on topics like ergonomics, body mechanics and safety.
Noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most common occupational issues and the second most self-reported occupational illness or injury. Our highly trained and certified staff provide hearing services that help protect people and ensure businesses meet all OSHA requirements.
