Louisiana Health Systems Launch MyChart Central Statewide

Healthcare organizations across Louisiana joined forces for the first statewide launch of MyChart Central, giving patients a single, secure way to access their medical records, communicate with care teams, and manage their care.

Many Louisianans receive care from multiple providers and across parish lines. Statewide MyChart Central means they can now have:

  • One MyChart login. Patients can use a single Epic ID to sign in to MyChart for all Louisiana organizations using Epic—without needing to keep track of multiple usernames and passwords.
  • Password-free convenience. With support for passkeys and biometrics like face and fingerprint, patients can securely sign in without remembering passwords.
  • Synced profile information. When patients move or get a new phone number, they can update MyChart Central once. Updates sync to the other organizations where they receive care—saving time and reducing the need to fill out repetitive forms.
  • Easier patient-driven interoperability. A single Epic ID makes it easier for patients to securely share their medical information with health apps they choose.

The coordinated MyChart Central activation reflects deep collaboration across all Louisiana healthcare organizations using Epic:

Your Medical Bill, Simplified

Effective July 1, 2025, North Oaks Health System will stop mailing paper bills. Instead, patients will receive billing statements online through MyChart. You will receive an email when a new bill is ready. You will also receive a text message on your phone if
you have signed up for text alerts.

To see your billing statements, log into your MyChart account with the button below or by visiting mychart.northoaks.org/mychartprd.

Log in to MyChart

Then, go to the Billing Summary to check your balance, view past statements, and print copies if needed.

Each insurance plan is different and can be complex. We know that it’s important that you know what your expected out-of-pocket costs will be as soon as possible. That’s why North Oaks Health System has specialists who research your coverage, benefits and financial responsibilities for you each time you visit the hospital, and can help get answers to any questions you may have.

For patients who might have difficulty paying out-of-pocket expenses, our financial counselors can:

  • Help set up a convenient payment plan so patients can pay for services over a period of time; and/or
  • Determine if the patient is eligible for Medicaid, and help with the enrollment process; and/or
  • Determine if the patient is eligible for Charity Care. This program is offered to patients who meet specific income guidelines. If approved, additional financial assistance could be provided.
