Family conferences will be held to answer your questions and address any concerns you and your family may have during your stay, and when you’re ready to leave the hospital.

The admission process starts with a nurse who will assess the effects of the stroke and other conditions you may have. Other experts may also provide input regarding your application for admission. If you meet the requirements for admission, you will work with a specially trained team to set goals that help you reach your highest level of independent living.

The Stroke Support Group of Hammond offers support, socialization and education for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Meetings take place in the Conference Room of North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital at 1900 S. Morrison Boulevard in Hammond.
