Practice Supervisor Katie Honored as North Oaks Health System Employee of the Month for October 2017

Practice Supervisor Katie has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Employee of the Month Award for October 2017.

"Every patient is a special part of someone's family," notes Katie. "Treat them as if that family is your own."

Katie joined the North Oaks team in 2006 as a Customer Service Representative in Health Information Management. From 2008 to 2014, she worked for MTT handling release of information for North Oaks Physician Group.

In 2014, she returned to the North Oaks team as a Medical Office Specialist for Northshore Urological Associates. In 2015, she transferred to Plaza Orthopedics. That same year, she became a Practice Supervisor for North Oaks Surgical Associates, North Oaks Shock Trauma Clinic, Northshore Urological Associates and Plaza Orthopedics.

Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University.

A native of Husser, she now lives in Loranger with her husband Warren and her dog, Missy, a Maltese who rules the house!

Outside of work, Katie supports two causes very close to her heart -- the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and organ donation awareness to honor the memory of her cousin. “We were very close ... more like sisters,” she explains.
