Nurse Practitioner Chad Klug Joins North Oaks Cardiology Clinic in Hammond

Nurse Practitioner Chad Klug, ACNP-BC, has joined North Oaks Cardiology Clinic in Hammond, a clinic of North Oaks Health System.
Klug is an experienced adult acute care nurse practitioner who has worked closely with cardiologists and surgeons throughout his career to treat patients with heart and vascular conditions. His experiences helped form the heart of his patient care approach.
“As a provider, we have to take our time and listen to the patient,” Klug explains. “Including them in their care plan makes a patient truly happy with our care.”
Klug will help evaluate and treat patients with cardiovascular diseases, including evaluating diagnostic test results, creating personalized treatment plans, managing medication and providing patient education.
“One of the best parts of my job is to see a patient and their family in time of illness/sickness, then come back to the office improved and appreciative of what we have done to extend their lives,” he shares.
Klug earned his bachelor's degree in nursing from Loyola University in New Orleans and his master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in adult acute care from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He is certified as an adult acute care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
He is also professionally affiliated with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Louisiana.
Nurse practitioners are nationally certified, state-licensed medical professionals who can practice independently, working in close collaboration with their supervising physician.
Klug joins other North Oaks Cardiology providers Drs. Nidal Abi Rafeh, Jherie D. Ducombs, Bruce Ennis, Georges Khoueiry, William P. Kopfler, James M. North Oaks Cardiology Clinic is located at 15813 Paul Vega, MD, Drive Building 2, Suite 403 in Hammond. Clinic hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
