Operation Preparation: Are You Ready Medically for Hurricane Season?

In the event of a hurricane approaching our community, North Oaks will set up a public information line at 985-230-INFO (4636). This line will provide essential medical information, including:
- Medical preparations to make before the storm
- Special needs/medical shelters information
- Availability of health care services at North Oaks facilities and North Oaks physician offices (i.e., elective procedure cancellations, closure and reopening dates)
- Availability of local pharmacy services and other medical resources in the recovery phase.
Updates also will be given to our media partners, including:

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. As part of your medical preparations for hurricane season, download and complete the “Personal Medical Information Form" and store it in your waterproof disaster supplies kit to help you keep track of your health information wherever you are.
