Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma and responsible for approximately 40% of all pre-hospital deaths worldwide.

Counteracting this startling reality is at the heart of an American College of Surgeons program called STOP THE BLEED®. This special emergency training program aims to train anyone to stop bleeding in a severely injured person until professional first responders have time to arrive.

To date, more than 2.1 million people worldwide have been trained, and now, the North Oaks Shock Trauma Center team is offering STOP THE BLEED® community classes so you can learn too and join the millions of people worldwide trained and ready to help save lives!
