Camden Jayce Patrick arrived at North Oaks Medical Center at 4:25 a.m. on Jan. 1, making him the first baby to be born in the hospital in 2017.

Camden was welcomed by parents Denise Green and Antonio Patrick of Hammond. Delivered by Dr. Jaime Edwards of Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology, he weighed 6 lbs., 9 oz. and was 18 ½ inches long.

To celebrate his birth, the North Oaks staff presented Camden and his parents with a Welcome Baby Basket containing dozens of items, including diapers, a tub, lotions, a rattle and a commemorative frame.

Camden was born on his Uncle Devin’s 21st birthday, and the two will undoubtedly celebrate together in years to come, notes Ms. Green.

Sharing in the joy of Camden’s birth are grandparents Patricia and Lester Patrick of Hammond and Douglas and Augustine Summage of Shreveport. Big sister Mekayla, 3, is also excited about his arrival.
