North Oaks Health System Names ENT Jacques Peltier, MD, Physician of the Year

Expressing genuine care for all of his patients and taking time to make sure they understand their diagnosis and recommended treatment are among accolades received by Otolaryngologist Jacques Peltier, MD—North Oaks Health System’s Physician of the Year for 2015.

The Medical Executive Committees for North Oaks Medical Center and North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital select a Physician of the Year annually based on nominations from North Oaks employees, volunteers and physicians. The award recognizes exceptional dedication to serving others, leadership, performance excellence and the community-at-large.

Peltier has been a provider with North Oaks Physician Group since 2007 and cares for patients at North Oaks ENT & Allergy Clinic in Hammond.

Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Peltier consistently volunteers his time and expertise at North Oaks Sports Medicine Physical Days, helping to provide free physical exams to thousands of student-athletes through the years.

No stranger to leadership roles, he has served as a board member of the North Oaks Physician Group Network Operations Council and Chairman of the Ambulatory Physician Informatics Committee from 2013 to present. From 2012-2013, he served as member-at-large of the North Oaks Medical Center Medical Executive Committee. He also has helped to ensure high quality care as a past member of the hospital’s Professional Practice Evaluation Committee from 2010 to 2011 and Surgery Steering Committee from 2008 to 2009.

He is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed an internship and residency through University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
