Mission and Goals

Mission Statement

Dedicated to improving lives, every time and with every touch

Our Mission

The mission of the North Oaks Medical Center Transitional Year Residency Program is to bridge the transition from medical school to advanced specialty training through rigorous, broad-based clinical education, professional development, and patient-centered care. We prepare compassionate, versatile physicians with the foundational knowledge, clinical skills, and professional habits needed to progress successfully into the next stage of their careers. We support each resident's professional goals, including strengthening those seeking to obtain a position in their desired specialty.

We are committed to serving the healthcare needs of our community, including rural and underserved populations, through high-quality, cost-effective care delivered by interprofessional teams and supported by technology. Our program fosters continuous improvement and lifelong learning within a culture grounded in North Oaks' core values of communication, compassion, courtesy, and commitment.

Program Goals

  1. Provide rigorous, broad-based clinical education that develops the foundational knowledge and clinical skills necessary for advancement into specialty training.
