Nurse Practitioners Hill and Severan Join North Oaks Cardiovascular Institute

Nurse Practitioners Dona Hill, APRN, AGACNP-BC, CCRN-K (right), and Jasmine Severan, MSN, FNP-BC (left), have joined North Oaks Cardiovascular Institute, which is part of North Oaks Health System. Call (985) 230-7350 to schedule an appointment.
Hill comes to North Oaks with more than 18 years of nursing experience in cardiac, critical, surgical, respiratory and long-term acute care garnered at health facilities in the Baton Rouge area. No stranger to North Oaks Health System, she completed clinical rotations at North Oaks Medical Center while working towards her master’s degree in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also is certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Hill earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion and an associate degree in Nursing from Delgado Community College in New Orleans. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Severan joins the North Oaks team with more than 12 years of nursing experience in areas such as the operating room, medical/surgical, telemetry and emergency services. She has gained knowledge working for hospitals in the Greater New Orleans area, including a previous stint with North Oaks Health System as a Staff Licensed Practical Nurse on the Telemetry and General Surgery Units.
Severan earned her master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Bradley University in Illinois. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Delgado Community College in New Orleans. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Nurse Practitioners are nationally certified, state-licensed medical professionals who can practice independently. Nurse practitioners are credentialed to manage the overall care of their patients, diagnose and treat medical conditions, prescribe medications and provide education to their patients on disease prevention and management.
Hill and Severan join other North Oaks Cardiovascular Institute providers, including Cardio-thoracic and Peripheral Vascular Surgeon Jose Mena; Cardiologists Nidal Abi Rafeh, Jherie D. Ducombs, Bruce Ennis, Georges Khoueiry, William P. Kopfler and James M. Parker; fellow Nurse Practitioners Jean Genzale, Kristen King and Travis King; and Physician Assistants Donna Foster and Olivia Buquoi.
Clinic hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
