Laboratory Director Rachel Recognized as Leader of the Quarter

Laboratory Director Rachel has received North Oaks Health System's Leader of the Quarter Award for October-December 2020.

Rachel joined the North Oaks Department of Laboratories team in 2018 as Chemistry Supervisor. She became Clinical Laboratory Manager in 2020 and was promoted to Laboratory Director this year.

“There is such a strong sense of community here at North Oaks,” Rachel shares.

She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Louisiana State University’s Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. “I was drawn to the unique combination of medical science and technology,” Rachel explains of her chosen profession.

She lives in Slidell with her husband Matt and their daughters Lydia, 7, and Elise, 5.

Rachel is a football fan, who enjoys getting outdoors with her family as much as possible. Hosting BBQs, playing outdoor games, taking walks and going to the park are among some of her favorite outdoor pastimes.
