North Oaks First In State To Offer Retina Laser System Treatment

North Oaks Health is improving eye care in our community by being the first in Louisiana to offer highly specialized retina care with the Navilas® Laser System.

This state-of-the-art retina laser system uses advanced eye tracking technology to treat many eye conditions with greater precision and comfort. The non-contact technology delivers treatment quickly, often reducing procedure time and the need for repeat visits.

Vitreoretinal surgeon Sean Hendricks, MD, joined the team at North Oaks Eye Care Clinic in January, becoming the first full-time retina specialist in Tangipahoa Parish. A fellowship-trained surgeon with more than two decades of experience, he treats conditions affecting the back of the eye, including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and retinal tears.

"The Navilas® Laser System is much quicker, much more comfortable for the patient, and the outcomes are spectacular," Dr. Hendricks explains.
