Payroll Specialist Denise Honored with Employee of the Month Award

Payroll Specialist Denise has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for January 2023.

“Every day brings opportunities to touch the lives of others,” shares Denise.

Denise joined the North Oaks Finance Department team five years ago in 2018 as a Payroll Specialist after working for 35 years in the accounting field. She explains that her combined love of numbers and solving puzzles inspired her chosen career path in the financial world.

Born in Metairie, Denise graduated from John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge.

Denise and her husband Sid live in Ponchatoula and have seven grandchildren – Brooklynn, 14; Rayden, 13; Skyler and Christian, 9; Zikyr, 8; Heidi, 6; and 8-month-old “Baby Bear.”

Putting together puzzles and reading are Denise’s favorite hobbies.

“Denise is known for her attention to detail, professionalism, compassion and helpfulness," asserts Financial Accounting Manager Amy McKinney. "She is solution-driven and takes great pride and ownership in ensuring that her fellow coworkers are paid correctly and on time.”
