Medicine Unit Staff Registered Nurse Karyn Receives Nurse Excellence Award

Medicine Unit Staff Registered Nurse Karyn has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award for October 2021.

“North Oaks feels like ‘home,’” shares Karyn.

In 2017, Karyn joined North Oaks Medical Center’s Medicine Unit team to begin her career as a Staff Registered Nurse. She commutes to North Oaks from Magnolia, Mississippi, and shares that being able to impact another’s life in a positive way is her driving force. Karyn pours her heart into patient care and championing the growth and success of new hires and nursing students assigned to her for mentoring and guidance.

Born and raised in McComb, Mississippi, Karyn earned her associate degree in Nursing through Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit.

Karyn and her husband Clay are proud parents of 8-month-old Tripp. When Karyn is not working or spending time with her family, you can find her baking!
