Local Community Volunteer Groups Help “Deck the Halls”

Local community volunteer groups recently continued a 22-year tradition at North Oaks by decorating Christmas trees located in numerous lobbies throughout the health system’s facilities for the enjoyment of patients, staff and visitors.

Members of the Belle Oaks Garden Club, Hammond Garden Club, Ponchatoula Gardenettes and Pilot Club of Denham Springs gathered to give their time and talents to decorate their assigned tree with ornaments and decorations they selected. Each holiday season, the ornaments and tree locations are refreshed.

“This community partnership succeeds in bringing the spirit of the holidays to our patients, staff and visitors through the talents and generosity of our volunteers,” shared Volunteer Services/Foundation Director Staci Arceneaux. “It is a privilege to work with these community groups to bring this lovely collection of Christmas trees to our community, and we are incredibly thankful for their contributions.”

To see the trees, please visit the main lobbies of North Oaks Medical Center, North Oaks Diagnostic Center, North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital, Hammond Park Professional Building, North Oaks Clinic Building and North Oaks Office Plaza — all in Hammond, as well as the North Oaks-Livingston Parish Medical Complex. The trees will remain up until Friday, January 6, 2023.
