Medical Assistant II Marja Honored as Employee of the Month

Medical Assistant II Marja has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for June 2021.

In 2009, Marja joined North Oaks ENT & Allergy Clinic as a Medical Assistant and has worked alongside Jacques Peltier, M.D. her entire career with the health system.

Marja, who claims she has always wanted a medical career, graduated from Eastern College of Health Vocations in her native New Orleans.

For nearly 13 years, Marja has lived her dream as a Medical Assistant with North Oaks ENT & Allergy Clinic.

"I love people," she shares, adding that she loves working with Peltier and her amazing coworkers to care for patients like family.

Marja shares her home in nearby Kenner with her two children – 18-year-old Michael and 11-year-old Corrine.

Away from work, Marja prioritizes family time.
