Gift Shop Manager Katrinka Honored as Leader of the First Quarter 2021

Gift Shop Manager Katrinka has received North Oaks Health System's Leader of the Quarter Award for January-March 2021.

“Exceptional customer service is my goal,” shares Katrinka.

Katrinka joined the North Oaks team in 1995 as Volunteer Services Manager. In 1997, she became Gift Shop Manager. Having worked in retail since she was a teenager, Katrinka shares that she enjoys how her job enables her to combine her business experience with her love of people.

“I have a really outgoing personality so this is the perfect fit for me,” she continues. “Stocking the shop with new products, the thrill of the sale and reinvesting proceeds into North Oaks to assist patients in need or enhance the health system’s services just never gets old.”

A native of Hammond, she attended Southeastern Louisiana University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications.

She and her husband Chad make their home in St. Amant and are parishioners of St. Theresa of Avila in Gonzales. She has an 18-year-old daughter Siri and two bonus sons -- “Lil Chad,” 20, and Coby, 18.

Always on the go, Katrinka cherishes time spent with family and friends. Some of her favorite activities include going to dinner, watching movies, shopping and reading good books.

The majority of our Gift Shop staff are volunteers, and Katrinka does a great job of making them feel appreciated," affirms Volunteer/Foundation Director Staci Arecenaux. "She is a natural salesperson, self-starter and innovator with a consistently positive outlook.
