She graduated from Baton Rouge General Medical Center School of Nursing in 2016.

Ponchatoula is home to Rachel, her husband Chris and their sons Ryden, 7, and Liam, 2.

As pastimes, Rachel conquers her fear of bugs to enjoy camping, hiking and kayaking with her family.

She belongs to Partners in Policymaking, a national leadership training program that advocates for adults with and parents of children with developmental disabilities, Last year, Rachel also assisted with TARC’s fundraiser, A Very Special Miss Louisiana Pageant. And every holiday season, Rachel looks forward to volunteering at North Oaks Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Reunion.

“Recognizing that hospitalization can be scary for children, Rachel takes the time to explain every step of their care, make them as comfortable as possible and even play and color with them when they are feeling up to it," affirms North Oaks Women & Children's Services Director Tamara Mitchell. "Her interactions with her young patients and their families are simply a joy to witness!”
