Executive Assistant Ruth Recognized as Employee of the Year

Executive Assistant Ruth has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Year Award for 2018.

Ruth joined the North Oaks Rehabilitation Services team in 2007 as a Program Assistant. Over the next seven years she served the health system in a variety of roles, including Accounts Payable Team Leader, Rehabilitation Services Operations Coordinator, Patient Access Director and Rehabilitation Patient Access Supervisor. In 2014, she accepted her current position of Executive Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

“Every question answered, every direction given and every act of kindness helps improve someone’s life,” Ruth shares.

Ruth earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with minors in Business Management and Journalism from Southeastern Louisiana University.

A resident of Hammond, Ruth enjoys going to the movies and loves to “Lion Up” for her alma mater at Southeastern sporting events.

“Ruth is a shining example of compassion,” affirms Chief Human Resources Officer Jeff Jarreau. “She takes every chance to make another’s day better and looks for opportunities to improve our services. She is one of the most considerate people I have ever worked with and always puts others first.”
