Play It Safe and Operation Life 5K Happening Oct. 6, 2018

In this edition of North Oaks Health Notes on TANGI 96.5 FM, host Johnny Chauvin talks with North Oaks Health System's Ashley Miller and Tyler Brignac and Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency's Lana Stevens about two family friendly community events taking place Oct. 6, 2018. They are the Fourth Annual Play It Safe and first-ever Operation Life 5K, and both will take place at Cate Square in Historic Downtown Hammond.

Hosted by Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency and North Oaks Health System, Operation Life 5K will start at 8 a.m. and finish at Cate Square with an award ceremony to follow at 9 a.m. The purpose of the race is to raise awareness about the power of organ and tissue donation. Next, North Oaks Trauma Center will host Play It Safe from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Play It Safe's goal is to increase safety awareness through education, demonstrations and activities for families with children, ages 12 and younger. For more information, click here.
