"Even the smallest of gestures can make a difference," shares Kaitlin.

Kaitlin joined the North Oaks team in 2009 as a Medicine Unit Secretary. In 2015, she took on a second position as a Nurse Tech while completing nursing school. In 2016, she became a Staff Registered Nurse on the unit. She also serves on the Professional Development Committee of the hospital’s Nursing Shared Governance Council.

Kaitlin earned an associate degree in Nursing through Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit.

Born in Metairie, Kaitlin grew up in St. Bernard parish. After Hurricane Katrina’s devastation, she moved to Mississippi with her family. Upon earning her nursing degree, Kaitlin purchased a home in Hammond and joined the North Oaks team.

Kaitlin likes to spend her time outside of work with her family, boyfriend and two dogs. She also enjoys gardening and crafting.

“Kaitlin works tirelessly to bring comfort and healing to her patients, who often refer to her care as ‘top-notch’ and ‘above and beyond the call of duty,” affirms Medicine Unit Clinical Nurse Manager Shana Hernandez.
