Telemetry Unit Clinical Practice Facilitator Ashley has received the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award for February 2018.

Ashley joined North Oaks in 2011 as a Nurse Tech on the Telemetry South Unit and became a Staff Registered Nurse that same year. She was promoted to Charge Nurse in 2015 and became the Clinical Practice Facilitator for all three Telemetry Units in 2018.

“There is nothing more humbling than knowing I have made someone feel special in their most vulnerable moments," shares Ashley.

A native of Marrero, Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University.

She and her husband Jason make their home in Hammond with their two children, 5-year-old Max and 18-month-old Addison.

Away from work, Ashley values family time and enjoys party planning and crafting.

“Ashley shines as a mentor for veteran and new nurses," affirms Vice President of Heart Health Services Christi Marceaux. "She is forward-thinking and is always working to streamline processes.
