Human Resources Generalist Miriam Named Employee of the Month

Human Resources Generalist Miriam has received the North Oaks Health System Employee of the Month Award for September 2016.

“Having the opportunity to assist in the employment of others is very rewarding," Miriam shares.

Miriam joined North Oaks in October 2013 as Secretary for the School of Radiologic Technology. In June 2014, she accepted the Human Resources Secretary position and continued to work for both areas. In November 2016, she was promoted to Human Resources Generalist.

A native of East Baton Rouge Parish, Miriam graduated from Scotlandville Magnet High School and studied at Southeastern Louisiana University and Baton Rouge Community College.

She lives in Denham Springs with her husband Jason, and their son, Braiden, and daughter, Charlee.

Miriam values family time and enjoys taking beach trips, baking, crafting and collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.

“Miriam is the first person with whom many applicants interact, and her professionalism and positive attitude set the tone for their overall experience," affirms Tracy Pettigrew, Employee Services Director.
