The qualifying student-athletes who scored the most points in an online
poll to earn the honor (percentage of votes received, based on school
population) are Kristen Favalora, Jessica Gregoire, William Rogers and
Hunter Stanley.
Kristen Favalora is an honor graduate and valedictorian of the Hammond
High Magnet School Class of 2015. During her 4 years on the volleyball
team, she achieved perfect attendance for every practice and game. She
was selected by her teammates as co-captain in her senior year and earned
32 service aces, 28 kills and 95 digs. In addition to excellence in the
classroom and on the court, she was an active member of the National Honor
Society, Beta Club and Key Club. She has plans to attend Southeastern
Louisiana University in the fall of 2015 as a biology pre-med major.

Jessica Gregoire is a 2015 honor graduate of Springfield High School. She
participated in softball and volleyball for 4 years and was a cheerleader
for 2 years. As catcher and captain of the softball team, she ended the
year with a .285 batting average and led the team with 3 home runs. She
had a fielding percentage of .951 and threw out 10 base runners. Graduating
with a 3.8 GPA, Jessica was a highly involved student-athlete with great
school spirit and demonstrated excellence in leadership on and off the
field. She also was involved in many organizations including: Beta Club;
the Outdoors Club; ProStart; Fellowship of Christian Athletes; Family,
Career and Community Leaders of America; Future Business Leaders of America;
and Future Farmers of America. Jessica will be attending Southeastern
Louisiana University in the fall.

William Rogers is a 2015 honors graduate of Springfield High School. He
played guard and defensive tackle on the Bulldogs football team and pitcher
and first baseman on the baseball team. In his senior year, he served
as captain of the football team and earned honorable mention in district
baseball. His final recorded stats for the 2014-15 Louisiana High School
Athletic Association (LHSAA) year include: 13 innings pitched with a 1-1
record; 7 strikeouts; and 4.12 ERA. Rogers maintained a 4.2 GPA and was
recognized as a 1st Team All-District, All-Parish and All-State Guard.
He was member of the Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes and
served as senior class president of the Student Government Association.
Rogers plans to attend Louisiana Tech University in the fall.

Hunter Stanley will be a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic
High School in the 2015-16 school year. He has played both football and
baseball for 3 years and described by the St. Thomas coaching staff as
a model representative of his teams and the school. His final recorded
stats for the 2014-15 LHSAA year include: 18 runs scored; 9 steals; 16.2
innings pitched with a 2-1 record; 0.42 ERA; and 22 strikeouts. He holds
a 4.0 GPA and is involved in Beta Club, the National Honor Society and
the Ambassadors Club.
