[HAMMOND, La.] –North Oaks Physician Group welcomes Ophthalmologist Daniel J. Dodson, MD, and announces the opening of North Oaks Eye Care Clinic effective today, Jan. 30, 2012.

Dr. Dodson is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all eye conditions. He performs small incision cataract surgery, which promotes faster healing and better results. He also has extensive experience with lens implants.

When asked to describe his medical practice philosophy, Dr. Dodson explains, “I hold myself to a high standard of moral and ethical values and treat each patient as if they are a family member. I work hard to do what is best for my patients.”

Dr. Dodson, who scored among the top 10 percent of the nation on the American Board of Ophthalmology certification exam, is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans. He completed an internship through Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Baton Rouge and a residency through Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans.

North Oaks Eye Care Clinic is located within North Oaks Office Plaza at 15770 Paul Vega, MD, Drive, Suite 100 in Hammond. Clinic hours of operation are 8 a.m-5 p.m. on weekdays.
