Dr. Erik Rasmussen Joins North Oaks ENT & Allergy Clinic—Hammond

North Oaks Health is excited to welcome ear, nose, and throat specialist (ENT) Erik Rasmussen, MD, to the North Oaks ENT & Allergy Clinic in Hammond. He is accepting new patients of all ages, from newborns to adults.

Dr. Rasmussen specializes in Inspire® Therapy, an FDA-approved surgical implant that treats sleep apnea in patients who cannot tolerate CPAP machines. He looks forward to offering this procedure to North Oaks Health.

He also treats a wide range of ear, nose, and throat issues affecting tonsils, adenoids, thyroids, and vocal folds; performs head and neck surgeries; and repairs facial trauma.

Dr. Rasmussen is deeply committed to patient education, especially given the many different conditions he treats across diverse age groups.

“I enjoy educating patients about their medical issues so they can make informed decisions about treatment,” he shares. “My job is never boring.”

Dr. Rasmussen earned his undergraduate degree from John Brown University in Siloam Springs and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. He completed his otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.

Dr. Rasmussen joins other North Oaks ENT & Allergy providers, Drs. D'Antoni Dennis, Jeffrey LaCour, Nancy Mellin, and Jacques Peltier; and Nurse Practitioners Ashley Bratton and Leslie Wood.

North Oaks ENT & Allergy Clinic is located at 15795 Paul Vega, MD, Drive, Building 3, Suite 402 in Hammond. Clinic hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
