Reid Joins Northshore Internal Medicine Associates

Nurse Practitioner Courtney Viola Reid, APRN, FNP-BC, has joined Northshore Internal Medicine Associates, a clinic of North Oaks Health System. She is accepting new patients, ages 16 and older. To schedule an appointment with her, please call 985-230-APPT (2778).
Working with the Internal Medicine team at North Oaks, Reid will be available to administer yearly checkups, and help diagnose and treat chronic conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
She asserts, "I am dedicated to putting my patients first, providing the best quality of care and ensuring we develop a trusting and honest relationship."
Reid served five years as a bedside critical care nurse at North Oaks. She said the experience deepened her compassion and commitment to advancing her certification to meet the needs of her patients. Reid said she is excited to translate her critical care nursing experience to caring for patients.
“I treat all patients equally and with the upmost respect while providing the best quality care,” she states. “Traits that make me stand out would be the compassion I show each patient I care for, the trusting relationship we build and the communication I provide to help them understand their illness.”
Reid received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond and her master’s degree in nursing from University of South Alabama in Mobile. There she specialized in family nurse practitioner studies.
Nurse practitioners are nationally certified, state-licensed medical professionals who practice independently.
