Radiology Tech Mike Honored as Employee of the Month

Radiology Tech Mike has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for January 2020.

“Making real connections with my patients helps put them at ease," shares Mike. "They can tell when you try."

Mike joined the North Oaks Environmental Services team in 1996 while studying at North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology. Upon completion of his studies in 1998, he accepted his current position as a Radiology Tech.

A medical career became his calling after nine years spent in the military. As he prepared for his return to civilian life, Mike shares that he was given an aptitude test to determine his best career fit. The medical field was recommended, and the rest is history!

A movie buff and avid gamer, Mike also enjoys any activity with his family.

“Mike is always so positive and takes pride in his work," affirms Diagnostics Director Casey Alford. "He personifies empathy and kindness and works to anticipate needs in all of his interactions with patients, their families and his coworkers. He’s such an excellent communicator and truly personifies courtesy, compassion and commitment.”
