North Oaks Physician Group to Open Only Dedicated Gynecologic and Obstetrics Clinic in Livingston Parish

Specialized gynecologic and obstetrical care for adolescent and adult women will arrive in Livingston Parish on Monday, Feb. 4 when Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic opens in Walker. The new clinic will be the only dedicated gynecologic and obstetrical physician practice in Livingston Parish.

Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology will be located at 28799 Walker South Road, Suite 1 in Walker. The clinic will see patients from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. For appointments or more information about accepted insurance plans, call (225) 664-3948.

Five skilled Obstetricians and Gynecologists will staff the clinic: Jaime M. Edwards, MD; W. Jeremy Erwin, MD; Marya J. Porter, MD; Deborah L Shuman, MD; and Thuc B. Tran, MD. They specialize in offering women the health care they deserve by putting their patients at ease, taking the time to listen and sharing in the special moments of their patients’ lives—like childbirth. Health care services offered for adolescent and adult women will include: routine well woman exams; family planning and pregnancy care; treatment of abnormal PAP smears; management of menopause and osteoporosis; urogynecology; and management of urinary incontinence. Magnolia physicians are also skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopy and da Vinci® robotic surgery.
