Family Nurse Practitioner Zandi, RN, MSN, Receives Nurse Excellence Award
Family Nurse Practitioner Zandi, RN, MSN, of Emergency Services has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award for April 2012.
Zandi was appointed to her current position in June of this year, previously working as a Women and Children’s Services Staff Nurse. She joined the North Oaks team in 2000 as a Patient Care Technician before accepting a position as Labor and Delivery Nurse Technician and then as a Maternal/Child Staff Nurse in 2001. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University and her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from University of South Alabama in Mobile.
“Zandi has a strong passion for her work and serves as an advocate for those under her care,” shares Women and Children’s Services Coordinator Kimberly Woods, RN, BSN. “She takes every opportunity to make a positive impact on the patients and families she serves.”
A native of Independence, Zandi and her husband Shawn live in Amite. They are the parents of Hannah, 20; Dyllan, 18; Haydan, 9; and Hunter, 7. In her spare time, Zandi designs embroidery and enjoys reading, traveling and watching movies with her family. Professionally, she is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She also attends Chappapeela Baptist Church in Amite.
