Nurse Practitioner Michelle Bridges Joins Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology

Nurse Practitioner Michelle Bridges, WHNP-BC, has joined Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic in Hammond. She is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, please call 985-230-2778 (APPT).

Bridges is board certified by the National Certification Corporation as a women’s health nurse practitioner. With more than 19 years of comprehensive nursing experience, she has practiced as a women’s nurse practitioner for 15 of those years in Southeast Louisiana and the Florida Parishes. She began her career in women’s healthcare in 2004 as a labor and delivery nurse in St. Tammany Parish. During the past four years, she has completed continuing education with the North American Menopause Society to further her knowledge of treating menopausal women and functional medicine (which focuses on the root cause of a disease) to offer a more natural approach to women’s health issues.

“I love caring for others, especially women, which is why I chose women’s health as a specialization,” Bridges attests. “My specialization in women's health stems from a deep understanding and empathy for the unique challenges women face. With 15 years of experience in this field and as the proud mother of five daughters, I am committed to making a positive impact in women's lives.”

Bridges graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and the honor of receiving the Academic Excellence in Obstetrics Award. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Treating women in each phase of life, listening to their concerns and meticulous professional standards are hallmarks of Bridges’ approach.

"I am deeply committed to supporting women across various life stages, from teenagers to menopausal individuals navigating new symptoms. Empowering them to consider diverse treatment options for an improved quality of life is a rewarding journey,” she shares.

Women’s health nurse practitioners provide healthcare for women through all stages of life. They provide well-woman exams, assist with family planning, and provide care for pregnant, prepartum and postpartum women.
