Mammography & 3D Imaging

Breast cancer can affect anyone anytime, regardless of gender, race or age. However, it is estimated that one out of eight women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. That’s why it’s vital to have regular breast screening and mammograms.

The Mammography Program at North Oaks offers affordable, high-quality screening and diagnostic services. Our innovative tools, including mammography and advanced breast imaging exams, such as 3D mammography, can help detect and diagnose breast cancer earlier when it’s more treatable.

What is a mammogram?

A mammogram is a safe, low-dose X-ray image of the breast. There are two kinds of mammography exams – screening (before symptoms occur) and diagnostic (after symptoms occur). Both require a medical provider’s order.

Say, "Yes, mamm," to a 3D mammogram. North Oaks' high-performance 3D mammography unit utilities advanced cancer detection technology built on artificial intelligence (AI). It is designed to focus on your comfort and convenience.

Benefits of 3D mammogram paired with ProFound AI™:

  • More accurate results
  • Faster diagnosis
  • Improved cancer detection
  • Fewer unnecessary callbacks
  • Fewer false positives
  • New comfort design

If you are concerned about radiation exposure, our Senographe Pristina™ mammography unit is the only approved 3D unit that delivers the same low dose as 2D without compromising image quality.
