North Oaks Sports Medicine Announces Student-Athletes of the Month for October

North Oaks Sports Medicine is shining the spotlight on Tyler Hasson, Chelsea James, Amy Sanders and Patrik Zachary as “Student-Athletes of the Month” for October.

Chelsea James is a Loranger High School volleyball and basketball player in her junior year with a 3.0 GPA. “Chelsea is an all-around team player on and off the court,” Head Volleyball Coach Misty Holton shares.

Holton goes on to describe James as one of the team’s best servers with 32 aces and expects her to be a determining factor in the success of the Wolf Pack’s basketball season too. “Chelsea put in hard work every day to prepare for the next game and expects the same of her teammates.”

Tyler Hasson is a junior with a 4.0 GPA at Oak Forest Academy in Amite. As quarterback and safety for the Yellow Jackets football team, Head Football Coach Jason Brabham counts on Hasson to be a leader on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

“As quarterback, Tyler makes plays with both his arm and feet. On the defensive side, he is always around the ball either making a tackle or preventing a pass from being completed,” explains Brabham. “Tyler constantly uplifts his teammates, and his passion for sports is contagious.”

With a 3.1 GPA, Amy Sanders has lettered in golf, basketball and volleyball each of her 4 years at Walker High School. Football and Powerlifting Assistant Coach Ross Levy marvels in his nomination of Sanders that with all of her team commitments, she somehow finds time to help manage the Wildcats’ softball team and serve as a school ambassador.
