North Oaks Shock Trauma team is planning its Annual Regional Trauma Symposium & YOU'RE INVITED!

This event is in partnership with the North Oaks Foundation and Southeastern Louisiana University’s School of Nursing.

Leaders in trauma care will speak to 200+ attendees from multidisciplinary areas including, but not limited to: pre-hospital providers, physicians, registered nurses, social workers and leaders in trauma care throughout our state. Our goal is to provide national trauma education for our local trauma providers.

This year's event will cover some important topics, including care for the trauma patient prior to hospital arrival, comprehensive burn care and care for the geriatric trauma patient. We'll also be exploring how anesthesia affects geriatric patients in the operating room, the psychological impact of trauma on the trauma patient and spinal shock and injury.
