Take Home Recorder
An ambulatory EEG is similar to the routine EEG setup. Its purpose is to
continuously collect electrical activity of the brain for days and can
be up to 72 hours. This compact EEG recorder allows you to go about your
normal routines while the EEG is being recorded. Your physician may order
this to further investigate your condition in order to determine the type
of seizures or to differentiate the epileptic seizures from other types
of psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (i.e. fainting spells, migraines
and memory lapses).

What to Expect
- During the setup, a technician will apply several small disc-shaped electrodes
(wires) on your scalp using a special conductive paste and an adhesive
glue to secure the wires.
