Phillip H. Ehlers, MD is a family medicine doctor and works to provide comprehensive healthcare for entire families, including: management of short- and long-term illnesses, well and sick child care, annual physical and wellness exams and routine screenings.

“I chose to be a family medicine doctor because it allows me to be proactive in caring for my patients. Getting to know them and their families over time helps me to treat their common medical problems, manage their conditions and provide preventative care. One of the areas I’m most interested in is treating and controlling diabetes and hypertension to mitigate and even prevent long-term illness.”

Felix L. Torres, MD brings 21 years of Internal Medicine experience to North Oaks Primary Care Clinic in Livingston. Prior to joining North Oaks, Dr. Torres practiced in Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes. Following Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to Gaylord, Michigan. In 2008, Dr. Torres returned to Louisiana to practice closer to home in the communities of Monroe and Springhill.

Dr. Torres is specially trained in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as medical conditions related to the heart, renal, pulmonary and thyroid. Dr. Torres is highly experienced in preventive medicine with a focus on geriatric patients. He also has received special training in wound care with hyperbaric oxygen therapy and interpretation of sleep studies.
