Jaime M. Edwards, MD earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and completed her residency at University of Texas Southwestern in Austin. She also earned a Junior Fellowship with The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Edwards has extensive training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including robotic and single incision laparoscopic surgery, as well as urogyn procedures.

As an OB/Gyn, Dr. Edwards provides healthcare for women of all age groups including a wide range of services such as annual well-woman exams, prenatal and obstetrics care, family planning, and gynecologic services.

If surgery is necessary at some point in a woman’s life, I use the most minimally invasive route possible to ensure a speedy recovery and quicker return to daily activities.”

W. Jeremy Erwin, MD earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport and completed his residency and internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is a Fellow of American College of OB/GYN and a member of Society of Laproendoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Erwin directs the North Oaks OB/Pediatric Department, which is dedicated to taking care of women in all stages of their lives, from childhood through retirement age. The team manages pregnancies, and provides preventative, medical and surgical care for conditions related to the female system. Dr. Erwin is specially trained in minimally invasive gynecology including advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as specialization in urogynecology and management of urinary incontinence.

Marya J. Porter, MD is an undergraduate of Georgetown University and received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Maryland. She is a Fellow of American College of OB/GYN and Certified Menopause Practitioner with the North American Menopause Society.

Dr. Porter assists women in all stages of their lives, from delivering babies to providing a range of preventative care, and female-oriented medical and surgical care. She is specially trained in minimally invasive gynecology techniques including advanced laparoscopic surgery. She also specializes in urogynecology and management of urinary incontinence. Dr. Porter is currently working on a series of talks at the hospital that will facilitate mother and daughter discussions.

Deborah L. Shuman, MD earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She is a Fellow of American College of OB/GYN, as well as a member of Tangipahoa Parish Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and American Medical Society. 

Dr. Shuman assists in taking care of women throughout the different stages of their lives from pre-teen, to adulthood, to their senior years. She is specially trained in minimally invasive gynecology including advanced laparoscopic surgery, urogynecology and management of urinary incontinence.

Thuc B. Tran, MD earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed her Internship at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans and her residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Tran is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
