Labor & Delivery
Located on the 2nd Floor of the Women's Pavilion
within North Oaks Medical Center [facility map]

Just as you are preparing to care for your baby, we at North Oaks have prepared to care for you. Our accommodations include private Labor, Delivery and Recovery (LDR) Suites and post-partum rooms, along with Well Baby, Intermediate Care and Neonatal Intensive Care Nurseries.

Pediatric Unit

The nurses and staff on the Pediatric Unit are specially trained to provide care for your infants and children. Our 7-room unit includes a play room for the children that consists of toys, books, games and movies to help make their stay as pleasant as possible.

Mammography
Located at North Oaks Diagnostic Center [map]

Screening and diagnostic mammograms are performed at North Oaks Diagnostic Center located at 15837 Paul Vega, MD, Drive in Hammond on the campus of North Oaks Medical Center. Digital mammograms are performed in half the time of traditional mammography. Our radiologists use Computer-Aided Detection software as a double-check to identify suspicious areas in all mammogram studies.

Osteoporosis Detection
Located at North Oaks Diagnostic Center [map]

Osteoporosis, a disorder that causes bones to become brittle and subject to fracture, is caused by loss of calcium and other mineral components. Osteoporosis is not a disease of the frail elderly, but a chronic condition that begins mostly in women during their forties and fifties.
