The Senior Care treatment team combines a multi-disciplinary professional support staff to assess the individual needs of each patient and facilitate a specialized treatment plan:
- Psychiatrists
- Recreational Therapists
- Primary Care Physician
- Social Workers
- Physical Therapists
- Psychologists
- Allied Health Professionals
- Occupational Therapists
- Dietitians
- Registered Nurses
- Speech Therapists
- Pharmacists
These staff professionals will:
- Assess the unique needs of each individual and target specific and realistic expectations for improvement.
- Assist the patient in returning to a healthier emotional and mental state.
- Assist the patient in bringing their emotional and physical life into balance through a program of psychotherapy and structured activities.
- Provide appropriate medication if indicated, or adjust present medication regime for more effective outcomes.
- Provide consistent encouragement to redevelop functional independence through therapeutic and failure-free activities.
- Evaluate and assist the patient in the use of adaptive devices appropriate to their real life circumstance.
- Assist the patient’s family in learning new behavioral techniques and preventing the patient from regressing to a less adaptive state of mind.
- Assist the patient and family in finding appropriate care and securing plans for the future.
- Assist the patient and family in learning new coping skills and establishing mutually supportive relationships.
