Johnny Poumaroux of Baton Rouge recently joined North Oaks Health System in Hammond as Security and Housekeeping Director.
In this capacity, he will plan, organize and direct the health system's security and housekeeping programs, as well as supervise parking facilities.
Poumaroux brings over 25 years of experience in health care security, environmental services, hospital communications and risk management to his new position. Prior to joining the North Oaks team, Poumaroux served for 12 years as Director of Support Services for Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, where he led the areas of safety, security, patient escort and communications. His professional career also includes 9 years of experience as Director of Support Services for St. Jude Medical Center (now Kenner Regional Medical Center). Additionally, he served in the capacity of Assistant Director of Security for Southern Baptist Hospital (now Memorial Medical Center) in New Orleans for 5 years and worked in law enforcement as a Detective Sergeant with the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Department for 5 years.
Poumaroux earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
