Digital Mammography & Osteoporosis Screening Specials Offered by North Oaks Diagnostic Center & Northshore Imaging Associates, LLC from October 1 to November 17, 2006
Northshore Imaging Associates, LLC, and North Oaks Diagnostic Center are offering a special $80 rate on digital screening mammograms in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month from October 1 through November 17, 2006.
As an additional benefit, osteoporosis screenings also may be scheduled at the special $80 rate, or both screenings may be scheduled at a special combination rate of $110.
Early detection is widely regarded as a strong defense against breast cancer and osteoporosis, according to the American Cancer Society and National Osteoporosis Foundation, respectively. The earlier detection occurs, the faster treatment can begin.
At North Oaks Diagnostic Center, digital mammograms are performed by an all-female staff and take half the time of traditional mammography. And a board-certified radiologist with Northshore Imaging Associates, LLC, reads the studies with the assistance of Computer-Aided Detection to help identify suspicious areas. The same staff utilizes a bone densitometer to rapidly and comfortably perform osteoporosis screenings in order to measure bone mass, determine bone strength and predict the risk of future fracture.
Women who take advantage of the screening specials between October 1 and November 17, 2006 also will be entered in a drawing for spa baskets. The spa baskets are provided courtesy of House of Divas and Paris Parker Salon, both in Hammond.
The $80 digital screening mammogram, $80 osteoporosis screening and $110 digital mammogram/osteoporosis screening package are special "cash only" prices from October 1-November 17, 2006. Insurance companies will not be charged. Each cash price covers exam costs and radiologist reading fees. Any additional medical procedures deemed necessary will follow normal billing processes. These screenings require a physician's order.
