Hospice
North Oaks Hospice offers care and support to persons in the last phases of an incurable illness so they can live as fully and comfortably as possible. Most patients receive care at home where the North Oaks Hospice team of trained professionals, including physicians, nurses, counselors, therapists, aides and volunteers, provide medical care and support services not only to the patient, but also to the entire family. Services are provided to families for one year following the death of their loved one through bereavement counseling and support groups. Family members are invited to a special Hospice Memorial Service each spring and a Holiday Remembrance Celebration during the Christmas season to bring hospice families and hospice staff together each year.
For more information about Hospice care, please contact the North Oaks Hospice office at (985) 386-5161 and a member of the Hospice team will assist you.
