North Oaks to Offer Free Car Seat Checks in Walker
Properly installed car seats can greatly increase a child’s safety while traveling in a motor vehicle.

With this in mind, the North Oaks Clinics in Walker will provide free car seat checks and installations by appointment on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and Wednesday, Dec. 19 in the parking lot of Southside Plaza, located at 28050 Walker South Road.

Appointments are available for scheduling every 30 minutes from 12 to 3:30 p.m. All car seat checks will be performed by certified North Oaks child passenger safety technicians.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, motor vehicle crashes are among the leading cause of death among children in the United States; however, many of these deaths are preventable. Placing children in age- and size-appropriate restraint systems reduces serious and fatal injuries by more than half.
