6-Week Summer Program Helps Teens Become Better Athletes
Teen athletes have the chance to get a “kick” out of their summer by participating in the North Oaks Sports Medicine Performance Program June 4-July 13, 2007.
The 6-week program is open to area junior high and high school athletes. North Oaks Sports Medicine professionals will educate athletes on how to enhance leg strength, flexibility, sprinting speed, punting/kicking distances, and vertical jumping distances.
Program components include:
- an individualized exercise program 3 days/week, under the supervision of an Athletic Trainer
- a home exercise program 2 days/week
- establishment of each athlete’s baseline sport-specific performance
- pre- and post-program comparative analysis of each athlete’s performance
- North Oaks Sports Medicine T-shirt
- certificate of participation
- special conference for parents, including information on common sports injuries and preventative measures.
