North Oaks Clinic to Host Free “Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention” Class in Walker
Join North Oaks Community Educator Sean Casteel for a discussion about the effects of prescription drug abuse on Thursday, April 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center, located at 9261 Florida Boulevard in Walker.
Prescription drug abuse has become more prevalent among adolescents in recent years, and this practice can be just as dangerous as abusing any illegal drug. This presentation will include the topics of prevalence and accessibility of drugs for teenagers. The class also will cover the steps you can take as a parent and community member to help prevent prescription drug abuse.
