North Oaks Medical Center Welcomes First Baby of 2008
Julius Robert Wilkerson’s birth, at 12:20 p.m. on January 1, has earned him and his parents, Jessica Chrystal and Robert Wilkerson of Amite, celebrity status at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond as Baby New Year 2008.
Julius became the first baby born at North Oaks in 2008 when he arrived at 12:20 p.m. on the first day of the new year, weighing 7 lbs., 6 oz. and measuring 20 inches long. He was delivered by North Oaks Obstetrics & Gynecology Certified Nurse Midwife Vicki Matherne, CNM, with the assistance of the North Oaks Women and Children’s Services team.
Julius has two siblings, twins Dedrain and Dawayne, 3. Grandparents are Jesse and Mary Chrystal of Amite and Bobby and Carrie Wilkerson of Harvey.
In recognition of Julius’ status as Baby New Year 2008, the North Oaks Women and Children’s Services team presented him with a welcome basket complete with a commemorative picture frame and rattle, along with gifts and supplies.
